Faye Phillips has served as an administrator, librarian, archivist and faculty member at the Louisiana State University Libraries, 1986-2012; as an archivist at the United States Senate and the National Archives and Records Administration in Washington, DC; the director of the Troup County Archives in LaGrange, Georgia; and as an archivist at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Atlanta Historical Society, and Georgia State University. She received BA, 1976, and MA, 1979, degrees in American History from Georgia State University, Atlanta. From the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Phillips received an MS in Library Science, 1982.
